Electronics engineer
I build unmanned aircraft, medical delivery drones and swarm robotics. Three ventures, a shelf of international awards and 21 countries so far.
I'm Aseem Saini, an electronics engineer who builds unmanned aircraft. Hybrid VTOL drones that deliver medical supplies, fixed-wing platforms for international competitions, multirotor swarms that fly as one. I've co-founded three ventures and travelled to 21 countries along the way. The future belongs to me.
Follow the flight path from 2017 to 2019. More wins are listed underneath it.

2018 National competition
Winner of the University Innovation Competition, out of 700 national teams.
2018 International competition
8th internationally for the journal paper and flight readiness review submission.
2018–19 Dean's award
The Dean's overall best cultural award, for representing IIIT-Delhi internationally.
2019 International competition
6th place out of 72 international teams.
2nd position in the CanSat build and launch competition at Delhi Technological University.
Qualified and collaborated in the multi-UAV swarm challenge.
Game development and a professional competition in Seoul, South Korea.
Qualified, won matches and took home official Mahindra merchandise and awards.
One idea runs through all of them: let machines take on the dangerous or impossible part of the job.
Robotics
Co-founded to push autonomous robotics and drone systems out of the lab and into the field.
Medical delivery
Drone-based delivery built to get critical medical supplies where roads and traffic can't.
Aerospace education
Built the unmanned aerial systems program at IIIT-Delhi from the ground up, training the next generation of UAV builders.
One of my featured projects. A hybrid VTOL aircraft lifts off like a multirotor, flies like a plane, then lowers its payload by parachute at the drop zone. Scrub the timeline to follow a mission.
Concept illustration of how a hybrid VTOL airdrop works. Not a model of a specific airframe.
It started in New Delhi, at IIIT. Then Sangmyung University in Seoul pulled me into game development and a different way of building. Twenty-one countries later, the throughline hasn't changed: show up, build something, leave with more questions than I arrived with.
New Delhi
Games, sketches, RC planes and Ferrari. The things that keep the engineering fun.

A season at Sangmyung University in Seoul turned game development into a lasting habit. This is a tiny game built for this page. Try to beat your best.
Same obsession as the day job, minus the paperwork.
Formula 1 devotee. Ferrari, specifically, for better or worse.
Occasional character sketches for when the CAD software gets old.
Open to collaborations, new roles and good conversations about aircraft, robotics and games.
